The United States President Donald Trump is scheduled to arrive at Dublin Airport on Saturday morning. While officials have released few details about his itinerary, he is expected to visit Dublin and Clare during his visit.
There are a series of planned events, which include a meeting with Taoiseach Micheál Martin and Tánaiste Simon Harris at Farmleigh House, a meeting with President Catherine Connolly at Áras an Uachtaráin, and a visit to the residence of US Ambassador Edward Walsh at Deerfield.
Following his time in Dublin, the US President is expected to Travel to Trump International Golf Club Doonbeg Co. Clare, by plane or helicopter. He is understood to be staying at the resort there before attending the closing day of the Irish Open on Sunday.
As a result, security measures and traffic arrangements connected to the President's movements between Dublin Airport and Phoenix Park have had an impact on a League of Ireland fixture.
Home Farm DCU had originally been scheduled to host Mervue United at Whitehall Stadium on Saturday afternoon. However, due to road closers, officials have opted to switch the location of the game.
As a result, the fixture will now be played in Galway, with Home Farm surrendering home advantage and travelling to Fahy's Field instead. Kick-off remains unchanged at 3pm.
