The Lord of the Rings stars Orlando Bloom and Elijah Wood could be set to reunite on screen in Netflix's The Gentlemen.

Wood, who played Frodo Baggins in Sir Peter Jackson's fantasy trilogy, is reportedly being considered for a villainous role in a potential third season of the hit crime series.

Bloom, who played Legolas in The Lord of the Rings, is also said to be a key casting target for the new season.
According to reports, talks are ongoing, but neither actor has signed a deal for the series.

A source told The Sun: "Elijah is being courted to appear as a villain, while Orlando is also one of their key casting targets."
The source added that bringing the two former Lord of the Rings stars together would be a major moment for fans of the fantasy franchise.

Theo James, Kaya Scodelario, Joely Richardson and Ray Winstone are among the stars of the second season of The Gentlemen.

There has also been speculation that Meghan Markle could appear in a potential third season, with reports suggesting she has been in early discussions about playing a "temptress".
However, Variety previously reported that those discussions were at a very early stage and that no contract was in place.

Former Love Island host Maya Jama also made her acting debut in the second season of The Gentlemen.
For now, fans will have to wait and see whether Frodo and Legolas actually find themselves back together on screen.
