More than three decades after Pulp Fiction first hit cinemas, Samuel L. Jackson has shown he hasn't forgotten one of the most memorable monologues in movie history.
The 77-year-old actor celebrated the film's 32nd anniversary by sharing a video on Instagram of himself flawlessly reciting Jules Winnfield's famous "Ezekiel 25:17" speech from Quentin Tarantino's 1994 crime classic.

Pulp Fiction, released on October 14, 1994, featured an ensemble cast including John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Bruce Willis, Harvey Keitel, Tim Roth and Ving Rhames. The film followed a series of intertwining storylines set in Los Angeles and went on to become one of the most influential and celebrated movies of the 1990s.
Jackson's portrayal of hitman Jules Winnfield remains one of the standout performances of his career. The role earned him his first and, to date, only Academy Award nomination, while Tarantino's screenplay won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.

The actor's now-famous speech was inspired by the biblical passage Ezekiel 25:17, though Tarantino famously adapted the wording for the film, creating one of cinema's most quoted moments.
The success of Pulp Fiction helped catapult Jackson to a new level of fame and also revitalised John Travolta's career, while cementing Tarantino's position as one of Hollywood's most exciting filmmakers.
Jackson and Tarantino would go on to work together several more times, collaborating on films including Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterds, Django Unchained and The Hateful Eight.

The actor reunited with several of his Pulp Fiction co-stars in Los Angeles in 2024 to celebrate the film's 30th anniversary, a testament to the enduring legacy of a movie that continues to captivate audiences more than three decades later.
Most recently, Jackson has appeared in action films Just Play Dead and The Beast, continuing a career that shows no signs of slowing down.
