Liam Gallagher has said that Fontaines D.C. "are not good enough" to open for Oasis on their 'Live '27' tour.
The Irish band recently released their brand new album 'Dopamine Chamber' and previewed it at an intimate gig at London's Roundhouse on October 15th.
Back in 2024, Fontaines D.C. guitarist Chris O'Connell said they "couldn't really give a sh**" about the Oasis reunion. Bassist, Conor Deegan III also added: “I’m not excited about it either, to be honest. I feel like we get caught in the last era – like the ’10s – and into such a nostalgic thing that we’re forgetting to make new things."
“I feel like what we were wanting to do with this record (‘Romance’) anyway was to look into the future and make new things… So for Oasis to reform at this moment for us is really annoying," he continued.
This led Gallagher to hit back at a fan who asked whether Fontaines D.C. would be considered as a support act for Oasis’ ‘Live ’25’ tour, replying: “F***k them little spunkbubbles I’ve seen better dressed ROADIES.”
In a separate tweet, Gallagher added, “They look like a sh** EMF,” before responding to another fan who shared a clip from the interview, simply writing: “State of em.”
On the social media platform, another fan asked why they don't book Fontaines to open for them on their upcoming 'Live '27', Gallagher stated that they're "not good enough they don’t have any tunes.”
Fontaines D.C. have yet to respond to the comments made by the Oasis star.
