Imagine you spent a lifetime writing songs and were then asked to retrace your life in music by telling the stories behind what you regard as your best songs. Well, that is the premise of "A Headful of Hooks", a brand-new music series presented and produced by Cathal Funge for Radio Nova.

Each episode will feature one well-known Irish songwriter from the rock and indie world. They will be invited to hand-pick six key songs from their back-catalogue and share some memories of the time and place in their life when each of those songs were written. It's like Desert Island Discs - except for the guest's own music!... and it provides a fascinating insight into the songwriter's mind.

In the second episode, Cathal speaks to Frank and Walters frontman Paul Linehan, who reflects on his life in music by handpicking six key songs from the bands back catalogue and shares some stories about the time in his life when each of those songs were written.
