Aslan will continue to perform as a band next year with a new lead singer. Their talismanic frontman Christy Dignam died in June after a long illness.

A concert in celebration of his life was announced earlier today (Friday 15th), with the surviving members confirming via their social media channels that they would not be involved and will continue to perform with the recruitment of a new lead singer, who will be announced “soon.”

The statement read that the band has “spent the last number of months grieving the loss of their dear friend and band mate” and they “continue to try to find their own way of coming to terms with their huge loss.”

The band said that they ”know Christy would be so proud to hear and see what’s to come” and “are so looking forward to seeing all their loyal fans again“.
