Barry Keoghan showed off his new look as new photos of the Irish actor playing Ringo Starr were shared online.

The actor is to star as the Beatles legend in the Sam Mendes Beatles biopics, which are set for release in 2028.

Keoghan's new look was shown to the world as he and several other household names attended the screening of his latest movie, Crime 101, which was held in London earlier this week. The Banshees of Inisherin star was dressed in leather on the night, while disguising his face for a short time in a silk scarf, wit the rest of his hair covered by his new Beatle haircut.

Keoghan is to star in the biopics alongside fellow Irish actor Paul Mescal, who will play Paul McCartney, while Babygirl star Harris Dickinson and Stranger Things' Joseph Quinn will portray John Lennon and George Harrison respectively.

These biopics will also mark the first time that Apple Corps Ltd and The Beatles have granted the rights for the Fab Four's life stories to be told on the big screens.

Ahead of these biopics, co star Paul Mescal had said that fans will "benefit from knowing as little as possible" before they watch them.

“I don’t want to get into the Beatles thing, not coyly, but actually because I think the world hopefully will benefit from knowing as little as possible going into it", Mescal said earlier this month.

As for Keoghan, Crime 101, which is directed by Bart Layton, sees him star alongside Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, and Mark Ruffalo, as he plays a character named Orman, who is a rival thief to Davis, played by Hemsworth. Keoghan's character has more disturbing ways of getting what he wants, and a planned heist sees Orman lock horns with Davis.

The film sees Ruffalo play Dectective Lou Lubesnick, determined to bring these thieves to justice.

Crime 101 is to hit cinemas on February 13 this year.
