Bruce Springsteen parties with celeb pals after Broadway wrap

Word has slipped out — and a bit of footage — as to how Bruce Springsteen celebrated on Friday night (December 15th) after the 236th performance of his Tony Award-winning production, Springsteen On Broadway.

PageSix.com posted among those attending the final night of the run was Sting and wife Trudie StylerOprah Winfrey, and Rolling Stone founder Jann Wenner.

After the curtain call, “The Boss” and wife Patti Scialfa crossed the street from the Walter Kerr Theatre to join assorted crewmembers at the “Great White Way” watering hole Hurley’s Pub, where Springsteen hopped on the bar to make a toast and sip a shot. Afterwards, the Springsteen’s were joined by Sting and Styler, along with Oprah and CBS’ Gayle King, longtime Springsteen manager Jon Landau, and his lawyer attorney Allen Grubman, among others for a private bash at Club Room at the Lowell Hotel.

Bruce Springsteen posted a public “thank you” on his social media platforms after wrapping the Broadway run saying, “I want to thank all of our co-workers, friends and fans for making my year on Broadway one of the most creatively memorable of my life. To have come this far then be able to share my music with you the way we have this year has meant a great deal to me. A thanks must go out to Jon Landau, Barbara Carr, George Travis and everyone at (Jon Landau Management), the men and women of the Walter Kerr Thearte, and Jordan Roth, and the folks at Jujamcyn. A special thanks to my lovely wife Patti (Scialfa) for lending her beautiful voice and presence to our work together. She’s been a nightly inspiration. Our closing is bittersweet but more adventures await down the road. I’ll see you there.”

Also out now is the official soundtrack to Bruce Springsteen‘s Tony Award-winning production Springsteen On Broadway and Springsteen On Broadway is available on Netflix.

The official press release for the album reads in part, “(The album consists) of the complete audio from the upcoming Springsteen On Broadway Netflix release, the soundtrack album will be available on four LP’s or two CD’s as well as a digital download and on streaming services.”

The hit show is based on Springsteen’s best-selling memoir Born To Run and features “The Boss” telling stories from the book between the show’s songs performed on both piano and guitar — with wife Patti Scialfa appearing on two songs. On the Springsteen On Broadway soundtrack album, each of these stories appears as its own track, labeled as an “introduction” prior to the respective song.
