David Gilmour Announces 'Live At Circus Maximus, Rome' Live Film

David Gilmour has announced a new concert film, 'Live At Circus Maximus, Rome'.

This film will showcase the former Pink Floyd guitarist's shows from the city, as part of his 'Luck And Strange' tour.  Gilmour played six sold out shows in Rome, having kicked off the tour with two warm up shows at the Brighton Centre.  He then went on to play at London's Royal Albert Hall, New York's Madison Square Garden, and LA's Hollywood Bowl.

'Live At Circus Maximus, Rome' will be released by Sony Music Vision and Trafalgar Releasing, and will be showcased across cinemas and IMAX for a limited time on September 17.

‘The Luck And Strange Concerts’

Elsewhere, it was also confirmed that Gilmour's 'Live At The Circus Maximus' shows will be shared as two Blu-Ray and three DVD sets, featuring unseen footage and audio mixed in 5.1 and Atmos. They will be released on October 17.

This release will also include 23 tracks across four LPs or two CDs recorded at selected shows. The solo songs are taken from Gilmour's latest album as well as live covers of Pink Floyd classics ‘Sorrow’, ‘High Hopes’, ‘Breathe (In The Air)’, ‘Time’, ‘Wish You Were Here’, and ‘Comfortably Numb’.

It will also include a 120 page hardback book, as well as photography by Polly Sampson, from the tour, audio for both ‘Live At The Circus Maximus, Rome’ and ‘The Luck And Strange Concerts’ was co-produced by David and Charlie Andrew, who also co-produced the original album.
