Dublin Bus was forced to divert a busy northside route on Sunday afternoon owing to anti-social behaviour.

The transport company had to make changes to their route 40 for one hour with normal services resuming by 4:15pm.

The route did not serve St Helena’s Road and Cardiffsbridge Road in Finglas. Operations were in place via Finglas Road and Mellowes Road in both directions.

Dublin Live reports that route 27, which serves Clare Hall on the northside to Jobstown on the southside, didn’t serve Brookfield in Tallaght for roughly two hours.

Dublin Bus issued an apology to customers for any inconvenience caused.
