The Irish Emigration Museum in the Dublin docklands EPIC is yet again ‘Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction‘ having been crowned once more by the World Travel Awards.

The prize is all the more special having won for the third and also by beating off luminaries of tourism in the forms of the Eiffel Tower, Buckingham Palace and Rome’s Colosseum.

The attraction tells the stories of those who emigrated from Ireland and how they influenced and shaped the world.

Patrick Greene, CEO and Museum Director of EPIC “We are very proud to accept the title of Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction for the third year in a row. It is testament to the resilience, creativity and commitment of all our staff to providing a world class experience.”

Catherine Martin, Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, congratulated EPIC on the win, saying; “Their commitment to providing quality educational events, to hosting exhibitions uncovering lesser known stories of the Irish Diaspora and to giving visitors a world class experience lies at the heart of their win.”
