Foo Fighters' lead singer Dave Grohl was spotted in the audience at this year's Super Bowl, and fans have been calling for the band to headline next year's half time show.
Grohl was in attendance watching on as the Seattle Seahawks took home the spoils with a 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots on Sunday (February 7) at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
This year's half time show was headlined by Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny, which also featured Ricky Martin, Lady Gaga, Cardi B, and Pedro Pascal, Jessica Alba and Karol G. On the night, the singer also shared a message of community and love throughout his set, as well as going viral for offering one of his Grammy Awards to a young child.
On the night, Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl was spotted and put on the big screen, which soon went viral following his brief appearance.
On camera, Grohl was found talking to Apple Music presenter Zane Lowe. When he noticed he was on camera, the singer immediately looked up and gave out an elaborate gasp and smile before drinking his bottle of beer. See full footage of this here.
Last week, Foo Fighters shared snippets of new music on social media.
The band teased new music with a 19 second video on social media, with the caption: "This is just a test", with fans speculating that this video will contain at least 12 separate songs. See the post in full here.
This new music would mark Foo Fighters' first new album since they released But Here We Are in 2023. More on this story from Nova here.
Prior to that, Dave Grohl had said that a new album from the band is ready.
“We’ll be back here sooner than you think,” Grohl told the audience. “I know when we’re coming back! It is before my next birthday [January 14, 2027], just so you know.”
He then added: “And we might have a whole new record of songs that we just finished the other day. I dunno!”.
