Florence + The Machine announces UK & EU tour to celebrate the release of ‘Everybody Scream’ her sixth studio album.
Florence Welch’s tour will kick off in Belfast on the 6th of February at the SSE Arena. The tour will also include two nights at London’s O2 Arena.
‘Everybody Scream’ will be a spooky themed release with a press release reading: “After needing lifesaving surgery on the Dance Fever Tour, Florence’s recovery took her down the path of spiritual mysticism, witchcraft and folk horror as she felt the limits of her body and explored what it means to be “healed”.
The album, which is set to release, rather fittingly, on Halloween, explores themes of “womanhood, partnership, aging and dying; exposing the murky in the mundane.”
Welch will be supported by fellow british artist Paris Paloma, who went viral for her song ‘Labour’, a feminist anthem exploring the unpaid work women do in the home.
Presale kicks off on September 3rd at 10am, with general sale following on September 5th at the same time.
Everybody Scream was written and produced by Welch over the past two years with a close-knit circle of collaborators including Mark Bowen of IDLES, Aaron Dessner and Mitski. The album’s title track and music video was released last week and featured Bowen himself.
