Are you learning guitar or not able to get out to your lessons because of anti-social distancing? How about this? Guitar manufacturers Fender will give you three months of free online guitar lessons to see you through the lock-up.

Fender has a subscription-based platform for newbie guitarists. It’s called Fender Play and the first 100,000 new customers to the service will now be offered three months’ free use of the platform.

Fender Play uses instructor videos and progress tracking tools to teach you hundreds of different songs. There are even personalised guides based on song preferences and choice of instrument.

This normally costs around a tenner a month but it’s been expanded in an effort to keep keen guitarists, ukulele players and bassists entertained as The Zombie Apocalypse keeps more and more people away from each other.

As Fender said in a statement, “We’re all going to be spending more time inside — so we might as well make some noise. With everything happening in the world, music has the power to connect us. We want to do our part to see you through…”

So, budding guitarists, click here to go the Fender official website to sign up but be quick! Don’t put it off like you usually do.

If stringed instruments aren’t your thing, you can download one of the free synthesizer apps being offered by Moog here and Korg here.
