Richard Perez Cuzcano was reportedly working at the Marriott in Lima as a chef whilst Guns N Roses were in town on November 5th for their concert at the Estadio Nacional.
It has been reported that the chef was a long time fan of the band and of Rose, after preparing multiple meals for them he eventually asked to take a photo. However, the establishment which he worked in has strict rules regarding taking photographs with guests and interacting with them outside of job responsibilities. Cuzcano was dismissed for violating this rule.
According to LoudWire, Cuzcano had worked at this hotel for over a decade, although he admittedly stated that it was all "worth it." He reportedly posted to social media to comment on the situation, along with the photo of himself and Rose. "I was the chef at the restaurant and I took a picture with Axl Rose himself after cooking for him. Yesterday, I was fired for breaking that rule. Was it worth it? It was and it will be until my dying day." he said.
The next stop for Guns N' Roses is Monterrey, MX on March 28th 2026 and then a stop in São Paulo, BR on April 24th 2026. The band have also announced that they will be performing at Download festival in Donnington, GB on June 13th 2026. Tickets are available here.
