According to reports, Jerry Lee Lewis has been taken to hospital after a minor stroke.

It was revealed on social media that Lewis suffered the stroke last Thursday on February 28th and is hoped that the rock and roll legend will make a full recovery.

A Facebook post read, “Last night, Jerry Lee Lewis suffered a minor stroke. He is with his family, recuperating in Memphis and the doctors expect a full recovery.”

The post concludes: “The Killer” is “looking forward to getting back into the studio soon to record a Gospel record and on the road performing live for his fans.

Hailed as “rock’n’roll’s first great wild man,” he became famous for his 1950’s rockabilly hits ‘Great Balls of Fire’ and ‘Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On’.
