The incident occurred in the early afternoon on Dublin 7 at the Museum Stop.
The Luas service was suspended between Blackhorse and the Point as emergency services dealt with the incident.
In a statement on X a spokes person said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
“Please be advised there that services on the Red Line are operating with delays following earlier RTI at Museum,”
While the services were suspended Luas tickets were accepted by Dublin Bus.
