The fatal single-vehicle collision occurred near Glenour, Adamstown, Wexford at approximately 9.20pm. Emergency services and Gardaí responded to the scene after reports of an incident involving a motorcycle on the L4016 road.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His remains were later transferred to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination is expected to take place.
The L4016 remains closed while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conduct a full technical examination of the crash site. Local traffic diversions are currently in operation.
Gardaí are continuing their investigation and have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. Officers are particularly seeking to speak with motorists who travelled on the L4016 between 9pm and 9.30pm on Friday, May 8th, 2026.
Road users who may have captured footage of the area, including dash-cam or mobile phone recordings, are also being asked to assist investigators.
