Man Arrested In Dublin After Car Chase In City Centre


A man was apprehended by gardai after a car chase through Dublin city centre on last night.

Gardai are continuing investigations after a car didn’t stop before it crashed into a wall on the South Circular Road.

According to reports, a dashcam recording revealed the car driving away from gardai at speed down Forbes Lane near St James’s Hospital.

Dublin Live reports that the vehicle was seen swerving around the corner from James Walk and then narrowly missing an approaching vehicle.

The person with the dashcam then pulls to the side of the road as a squad car follows carefully. The dashcam clip then revealed that the car had hit the wall.

A man, 30s, was arrested and taken to Kevin Street Garda Station. There were no reports of any injuries.
