Gardaí in Limerick investigating the murder of Martin Clancy have arrested a man on January 10th.
The man his 20s was arrested on Wednesday evening in Cork and is currently being detained at Roxboro Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
The arrest comes soon after the results of a post-mortem concluded authorities in Limerick would be launching a murder investigation.
The deceased was named locally as 40-year-old Martin Clancy, and Gardaí had been appealing for witnesses to the incident before the arrest was made.
However, they would not give any further details on how Mr. Clancy died as they were afraid circumstances may hinder the investigation.
