Man Charged In Connection With Huge Drugs Haul In Dublin

A man has been charged in connection with a drugs seizure in Dublin Port yesterday. Cocaine, heroin and ketamine worth €2.5 million euro were seized after Gardai and customs stopped a truck leaving Dublin for Limerick.

The 55 year old man was arrested at the scene. He will appear before a special sitting of Dublin Criminal Courts of Justice tomorrow morning at 10.30a.m. charged in relation to the seizure.

Meanwhile in a separate incident, A man has been charged in relation to a firearms seizure in Dublin on Friday. On Friday afternoon two cars were stopped and searched on Monastery Gate Avenue in Clondalkin where two loaded revolvers were found.

Four people were arrested at the scene, three of them were released without charge yesterday morning. A 26 year old man was charged this morning by Gardaí from the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau.

He will appear before a special sitting of Dublin Criminal Courts of Justice tomorrow morning at 10.30a.m. charged in relation to the incident.
