A man is critically injured following an attempted theft of his e-scooter in County Louth last night.
The victim, a man in his 40s, was approached in the Muirhevnamor area of Dundalk at around 8:30 pm by two men who attempted to steal his e-scooter.
He was brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, where he remains in critical condition.
A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the investigation.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses, specifically anyone in the Muirhevnamor area between 7pm and 9pm last night who may have captured video or dash-cam footage, to contact Dundalk Garda Station at 042 938 8400, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any local station.
