A man’s been taken to hospital after being assaulted near Amien Street. Gardaí have cordoned off the area.
The incident happened shortly before 5am on Memorial Road, close to Amiens Street heading towards the Talbot Memorial Bridge.
The victim’s been treated in the Mater but his life is not in danger. It’s believed he may have been involved in a two car crash at the scene – before there was an altercation.
The scene’s been cordoned off by gardai and there is currently no access onto the quays at Beresford Place near Amiens Street. There are diversions inbound at Connolly station onto Talbot Street.
