A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a crash in Co Kerry.
The accident occurred along the N71 at Moll's Hap, on the road between Killarney and Kenmare on Sunday afternoon last at approximately 4.20 pm. This collision involved two vehicles, with the motorcyclist, a man aged in his 60s, left seriously injured.
The man was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.
Gardaí have since issued an appeal for witnesses with any information regarding this incident, or had travelled in the area between 4pm and 4.30om on Sunday afternoon last to come forward. Road users with access to camera footage which may assist this ongoing investigation have also been asked to contact Gardaí.
The accident comes following a similar incident which collision along the N70 at Aghatubrid, Cahersiveen at 5am on Sunday morning last. It involved a bus and a car.
Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following this incident, releasing this statement: “Gardaí are appealing to road users who were travelling on the N70 at Aghatubrid, Cahersiveen between 4:30am and 5:00am this morning Sunday, August 9, and who may have dashcam footage of the incident or surrounding area to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí".
