Netflix will become available on the Sky Q platform from tomorrow (November 1st) through the new Sky subscription pack; Ultimate On Demand, which will be available to new and existing Sky customers.

The new subscription pack will be Ireland’s biggest on demand TV service, bringing together the full Netflix service and Sky Box Sets, which has over 400 of the best UK and US TV shows.

Netflix original dramas, films, comedies and documentaries, including The Crown, Stranger Things, Queer Eye and Marking a Murderer will lay neatly alongside Sky’s many shows.

Ann Marie MacKay, Director of Products and Marketing, Sky Ireland commented:

“This is an exciting new phase for Sky Q as we join forces with Netflix. Our aim is to give customers more of what they want while making watching easier through one unified platform, and with one way to pay. We want Sky Q to be a destination for TV fanatics. Partnering with Netflix means we will have all the best TV in one great value pack, making it even easier for you to watch all of your favourite shows.”

Ultimate On Demand is available for €16 per month for all new and existing customers alongside their Sky Q subscription, and with a 31-day rolling contract available, it’s both flexible and great value.

Existing Sky Q customers with Netflix will be able to easily move their account to the new pack or sign in to the Netflix app on Sky Q using their existing Netflix account details.

Sky+ customers need to upgrade to Sky Q to be able to access Netflix through their set top box.

To access Ultra HD content on Sky Q, customers must have a 2TB Sky Q box and a Sky Q Multiscreen subscription.

Customers with an existing Netflix subscription that migrate their existing Netflix account to their new UOD account will keep their existing Netflix profiles and recommendations and continue to be able to watch Netflix on all their usual Netflix-supported devices.

The Netflix app will be available on the Sky Q platform and Netflix members can sign in to watch using their existing accounts

Netflix is the world’s leading internet entertainment service with 130 million memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, documentaries and feature films across a wide variety of genres and languages.
