The documentary titled, Paul McCartney: Man On The Run is set to be released in 2026. It will be shown in selected cinemas and on Amazon Prime from the 25th of February 2026. The documentary will focus on the 83 year old music legend after his time with The Beatles. It will also follow his journery of creating his new band 'Wings' with his late wife Linda.
In the all new trailer released on Monday, McCartney said, "The Beatles had broken up and I was thinking, 'What do I do now?'" "How can I ever do anything that's anywhere near as good as the Beatles?" he asked.
McCartney explained his thoughts after The Beatles had broken up in the new trailer, "I was on my own for the first time, so I had to look inside myself. So I put a new band together. I thought we should start from square one. It was a puzzle I had to unravel."
According to RTE, Amazon MGM said: "The film chronicles the arc of McCartney's solo career as he faces down a myriad of challenges while creating new music to define a new decade."
They promised to provide "unprecedented access to previously unseen footage and rare archival materials" as it aims to capture McCartney's "transformative post-Beatles era through a uniquely vulnerable lens".
The documenatry is nearly two hours long and will be directed by Morgan Neville. The new documentary will form a partnership with McCartney, Universal Music Group and Amazon.

The trailer for McCartney's new documentary comes just before the release of his brand new book, ‘Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run’, which is set to be released on November 4th. This book will see McCartney look back at his time with the band Wings and include a full account from the music legend himself along with key players and family members.
