A new documentary chronicling Oasis’ highly anticipated reunion tour will have its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival.
Titled Oasis: Don’t Look Back In Anger, the film follows brothers Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher as they return to the stage for their Oasis Live ’25 world tour, one of the biggest music events of 2025.
The documentary will premiere at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival before arriving in selected IMAX cinemas and theatres on September 11th, 2026. It will then stream exclusively on Disney+ internationally, with the film also available on Hulu and Disney+ in the US later this year.
The film promises behind-the-scenes access to the band’s reunion, including rehearsal footage, backstage moments and live performances. It will also feature the first joint interview with Liam and Noel Gallagher in more than 20 years.
According to Disney, the documentary will explore not only the band’s comeback but also the impact Oasis’ music has had on fans across generations.
The film has been created by Steven Knight, the writer and creator behind Peaky Blinders and A Thousand Blows, and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, known for music documentaries including Shut Up and Play the Hits and Meet Me in the Bathroom.
Produced by Magna Studios and presented by Sony Music Vision, the documentary captures the sold-out Oasis Live ’25 shows alongside the personal and emotional story behind the band’s return.
The production team includes producers Sam Bridger (Lewis Capaldi: How I’m Feeling Now) and Guy Heeley (Locke), with executive producers including Kate Shepherd, Marisa Clifford, Davud Karbassioun, Tom Mackay, Krista Wegener, Thomas Benski, Isabel Davis and Tim O’Shea.
The creative team also features cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos, sound mixers James Mather and Tarn Willers, and editors George Cragg and Martina Zamolo.
The documentary follows Oasis’ first live shows together since their split in 2009, with the reunion tour becoming a major cultural moment for fans around the world.
It will also include the first joint interview with the brothers in more than 25 years, giving fans a rare insight into their reunion and the story behind one of the biggest comebacks in music history.
Beyond the concerts, the film will explore the emotional impact of Oasis’ return and the lasting connection between the band’s music and generations of fans around the world.

Director and creator Steven Knight said he wanted the documentary to capture both the story of the Gallagher brothers and the millions of fans who have been shaped by their music.

Reflecting on the significance of bringing Liam and Noel Gallagher together again, Knight added:
