Oasis have announced a pause as they take time to reflect after their mammoth Live ’25 reunion tour, which wrapped last night in São Paulo, Brazil.

The 41-date world tour began on 4 July in Cardiff, and included headline runs at Manchester’s Heaton Park, Wembley Stadium, plus shows across Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas.

In a message to fans, Oasis wrote: “And so it came to pass … The most damaging pop cultural force in recent British history’ found its way into the hearts and minds of a new generation,” referencing a damning article from journalist Simon Price.

They continued: “From Gallagher Hill to the River Plate, from Croke Park on the banks of the Royal Canal to the City Of Angels, the love, joy, tears and euphoria will never be forgotten. There will now be a pause for a period of reflection.”

On the final night in São Paulo, frontman Liam Gallagher appeared emotional as he thanked the crowd. He singled out bandmates, crew, management — and most of all, the fans: “We love you. Thanks for all your energy … Take care of yourselves and we'll see you again sometime.”

Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher’s daughter, Anaïs, posted a lengthy Instagram tribute after the show. She wrote that 2025 had been “the greatest year of my life … 41 shows. 142 days. A lifetime of memories.”

The “pause” leaves Oasis’s future uncertain. Their co-manager, Alec McKinlay, previously said that “there’s no plan for any new music” from the band. Yet Liam has hinted things might not be over, tweeting that the tour is “only starting”.

That ambiguity has fans hoping: could Oasis return in 2026? Some point to the band’s comments about a possible second leg or even a new album. For now, though, what’s clear is that Oasis are stepping back — at least for a while — after one of the biggest comebacks in rock.
