Paul Mescal's mum, Dearbhla, was like a giddy schoolgirl this week as she jumped on a plane to check out the progress of her new project.
Dearbhla, who was told in June 2024 that her cancer was in remission, has put her story down in words and written a book titled Finding Joy, slated for a February 2026 release.
The mum-of-three excitedly shared the latest update with her followers this week, documenting it all on her social media.
'A magic day of days... Thank you for the kindness, I feel brave because I am held,' followed by a small white love heart emoji.

Finding Joy's official synopsis reads: 'A poetry lover, a curator of joy, and a wise woman with a deep sense of compassion, Dearbhla Mescal encourages her followers online to find the joy in everyday life and celebrate the little things.
'Now, in her first book, Dearbhla shares her own practice of finding joy in a beautiful and uplifting collection of thoughts, recollections, and poems.'
Writing a little something to describe her book, Dearbhla said: 'This little book is a culmination of my curated joys throughout the past few years.

'It contains my rambling thoughts on life's issues that have popped up along the way. I truly hope it gives you a pathway to beginning your own 28 days of finding joy.'
'With poems, musings, thoughts, and inspirations to take you through the hard times and let you see some light, this is the perfect comforting literary hug for humans who want to briefly catch their breath in their busy lives.'
