It looks like Motley Crüe are working on new music as Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee have been photographed in the studio together. Photos of the band at work are below.

The band finished touring in 2015 and put their names to an agreement that stated they would never tour again. Their last record ‘Saints Of Los Angeles‘ was released in 2008 and even though the group hasn’t said they wouldn’t release any more new music, they have been inactive ever since.

On August 28th, a photo appeared on the group’s Facebook page of Lee and Sixx in the studio with record producer Bob Rock. The group had previously worked with Rock on their 1989 record ‘Dr. Feel Good‘.

Lee later took to his Instagram page, posting the same image with the caption: “It’s that new shit!!!!” He also posted a video of the skinner playing the rums, with the caption, “Boomz!!!!!!”

So far there have been no images of singer Vince Neil and guitarist Mick Mars in the studio shared. Doubts hang over Neil and Mar’s involvement and it has been rumoured that, while Lee and Sixx are obviously working on something, it could only be tracks for The Dirt, which is the forthcoming Netflix Biopic about the band.

The film is an adaptation from the book The Dirt: Confessions Of The World’s Most Notorious Rock Band, will feature Douglas Booth as Sixx and Machine Gun Kelly as Lee. Game Of Thrones star Iwan Rheon has been cast as Mars, while The Punisher actor Daniel Webber will play Neil. There’s no release date for The Dirt just yet.
