A priest in Liverpool took the opportunity to remind his viewers of Everton‘s first victory at Anfield for 22 years by lifting up an Everton scarf at the end of his service.
The priest from The Church Of The Holy Rosary in Aintree also walked out to the theme from ‘Z-Cars’, adopted and beloved of Evertonians when played at home matches.
‘I found this in the church this morning, I’m not quite sure how it got here,’ he said, before holding the scarf aloft, wrapping it around his neck and walking away.
Everton beat Liverpool for the first at Anfield in 22 years after a 2-0 win courtest of goals from Richarlison and a penalty converted by Gylfi Sigurdsson.
