Former rugby ace Rob Kearney has said it was his wife's idea to name their newborn son after his late brother.
The Kearney family were left devastated when his older brother Ross was killed in a road traffic accident. Ross was just six-years-old and Rob was just two at the time.
Last year, Jess and Rob, who got married in 2021 at Trump's Doonbeg hotel, welcomed their second son and decided to call him Ross. But Rob said the nod to his late brother was all Jess' idea.
Rob was speaking at the opening of McSorley's of Ranelagh new upstairs venue.
Upstairs at McSorley’s, an intimate new piano bar experience, alongside a carefully refurbished downstairs cocktail bar that enhances the original pub without losing its character.
