A Los Angeles court heard on Wednesday that the autopsy reports for Rob and Michele have yet to be completed.
Nick Reiner, faces two counts of first degree murder over the killings before Christmas.
The 32 year old was arrested on the 14th of December after the bodies of his parents were discovered in their home in Los Angeles.

Nick Reiner appeared in court on Wednesday to determine if there was enough evidence for him to stand a trial. However attornies said that they were still gathering evidence. The prosecutor told the judge that the autopsy reports were not ready.
Nick Reiner pleaded "not guilty" and was ordered to return to court of 15 September and remains in jail in the meantime.
If he is found guilty, he will face life in prison without parole.
Jake Reiner payed tribute to their parents last week on Instagram, he wrote: "A week from today I will be approaching my first birthday without my parents. I consider myself lucky to have had them by my side for the past 34 years. In the last four months, I’ve learned a lot about grief.
