Roger Waters has called out singer Ed Sheeran over the decision to remove Macklemore from his tour over his on stage comments supporting Palestine.
This comes after the Thrift Shop singer delivered an impassioned speech on stage while opening for Sheeran, where he called for "all human beings to be treated with dignity, respect and equality", and for a "free Palestine".
This led to calls from the Israeli-American Council to remove Macklemore from the tour, after they claimed that he had used his position to "advance a one-side political agenda".
Macklemore was subsequently removed from the tour, and shared a statement where he claimed that Robert Kraft, who owns the New England Patriots and Gillette Stadium had started a campaign against Sheeran to drop him or his shows would be cancelled.
Sheeran later wrote on social media that he was "not complicit" or responsible for the decision, and had tried hard to “build bridges, to find a solution”.

This has led to more support acts pulling out from the same tour in support of Macklemore and the Palestinian people, including Irish acts Aaron Rowe and Beoga, Finneas, as well as Danish band, Lukas Graham.
While he praised Sheeran, Aaron Rowe said in statement that he had to step away from the tour due to his views on this ongoing conflict.
"As Irish people we know all too well about genocide, forced famine and violent occupation", he said. “I cannot stand by and allow billionaires to use their position of power to silence the rightful voices of those who speak up against Israeli genocide and who highlight the savage murder of children".
Now, former Pink Floyd singer, Roger Waters has had his say on the topic, blasting Ed Sheeran over the decision to remove Macklemore from the tour.
Showing his support for the singer, Waters shared a video on Instagram, where he branded Sheeran a "little p****".
“Ed Who?” the video begins. “This is a little message for Ed Sheeran,” he said, before showing an image of United Nations Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese behind him, as well as an unnamed woman from Gaza pictured with tears in her eyes".
“I just have a little message for [Sheeran],” Waters added. “There are two kinds of people in this world. There’s people who do the right thing – the rapper Macklemore would be one of those people".
“And there’s people – many of them, sadly – little f… excuse me, I nearly used the F-word then… pricks like you who do the wrong thing. Goodbye". (All quotes according to NME).
