Chatting to Siri or Alexa in Irish could be a possibility in the future.
A US Professor has been awarded a scholarship to develop computer resources for the Irish language.
Professor Kevin Scannell, from the University of Saint Louis, will spend six months in Connemara to work on a number of technologies to help Irish speakers use the language online.
However, Professor Scannell has said it may be some time before we’re able to chat to our devices in Irish!
