Slipknot percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan insists that he will continue to wear face coverings, even if Covid one days comes to an end.

Crahan declared this during an interview with Forbes.

“I’m not ever going to stop wearing a mask, COVID or not”, he said. “I’ve been in this business 25 years, and people are filthy all over the world”.

“I’ve been in this business 25 years, and people are filthy all over the world”.

He also added, “We live in a filthy world, and we live in a world where people don’t wash their hands, they wipe their nose and they open the door and then you touch it”.

“I have four children and I know what it’s like to drop your kid off at school and they come home sick and then you’re sick”.

Slipknot mourn Joey Jordison

Slipknot are currently mourning the loss of their drummer Joey Jordison who died last month aged 46.

In a statement, Jordison’s family said this.

“Joey’s death has left us with empty hearts and feelings of indescribable sorrow”, they stated.

They also added, “To those that knew Joey, understood his quick wit, his gentle personality, giant heart, and his love for all things family and music”.

“The family of Joey have asked that friends, fans, and media understandably respect our need for privacy and peace at this incredibly difficult time”.

The remaining members of Slipnot also paid tribute to Jordison via social media including “Clown” Crahan along with Jim Root and Corey Taylor.

All three posted a single black tile on their social media accounts, in tribute to their friend and colleague.

Joseph Michael Poole aka Wednesday 13 was another former bandmate of Jordison. The pair were part of the band The Murderdolls.

“I’ll never forget you. You changed my life forever”, Wednesday 13 wrote in his tribute to Jordison. More on this here.
