Met Eireann has warned of very unsettled weather on the way for the weekend as Storm Dennis is set to hit.
Flooding, snow and damaging winds will take hold of the country as the storm hits. According to Met Eireann, there will also be a chance of snow.
Today, Friday will be dry for a time before a spell to of wet and windy conditions. However, the rain will soon clear for brighter weather with a mix of sunny spells and strong and gusty winds in the afternoon.
It will be mainly dry this evening and for much of tonight with some clear spells and perhaps slight frost in rural spots as temperatures fall to between 2 and 4 degrees.

Met Eireann says very unsettled weather on the way from tomorrow as we brace ourselves for Storm Dennis.
The forecaster says it will issue warnings on Friday adding: “Storm Dennis will bring some very wet and very windy weather over the weekend and into Monday. Some flooding is likely and damaging gusty winds with some disruption possible.”
