Teenage Girl Traumatised After Gang Raids Home In South Dublin

A teenage girl had to lock herself in a bathroom in her own home. That’s as a balaclava-wearing gang of raiders burgled her home in South Dublin.

Gardai have warned that an organised crime gang have been targeting homes in the area around Foxrock and Cabinteely.

This recent incident happened on Torquay Road in Foxrock and the terrifying burglars were able to get away, However, Dublin Live reports that the raid was captured on CCTV.

Gardai are now on high alert as there have been a number similar break-ins around the Carrickmines and Cabinteely areas over the past fortnight, as reported by the social media group, Cabinteely Life.

In Grange Park, on Saturday night burglars smashed a window before running away after a jogger noticed them and called the gardai. Kids have also seen in the area trying car doors.

There was also a report of three men wearing balaclavas breaking into a house on Brighton Square on the same night.

Just last week, two men were spotted pulling a house alarm off a wall on Churchview Way before being disturbed.

On January 4th, another house on Hainault Road was the scene of an attempted break-in but the owners were in at the time and the thugs fled.

On January 3rd, another address in Doonsalla Park was broke in with a crowbar even though it was 7pm in the evening with the occupants in at the time.

Gardai have advised locals to be vigilant as an organised gang have been targeting the area.

The group are thought to be dangerous and should not be approached if seen.
