The Rolling Stones have launched a new official podcast, 'Speaking In Tongues'.
The podcast, will feature interviews from bandmembers, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood, and will be narrated by Norah Jones. It will also include a behind-the-scenes insight into the making of their latest album, 'Foreign Tongues' which arrives next month.
Running for six episodes, the podcast will see the band shed light on studio techniques, the songwriting process and their creative influences.
It was also confirmed that The Cure's Robert Smith and Steve Winwood would contribute to the podcast, along with producer, Andrew Watt. Both Smith and Winwood will also feature on the album, along with its cover artist, Nathaniel Mary Quinn.
The opening episode of Foreign Tongues will go live next Thursday (June 25). Check out the trailer below.
News of this comes as the band announced their new single, Jealous Lover, which will also feature on Foreign Tongues. The track has been promised by a press release to deliver 2a pointed warning to an over-inquisitive lover", combining R&B groove with vocals from the band's frontman, Mick Jagger.
As for the album itself, Mick Jagger had this to say about it for the Press Association: "It was a very intense few weeks recording Foreign Tongues. We had 14 great tracks and we went as fast as we could".
"I like the room there as it’s not too big, so you can feel the passion in the room from everyone".
Keith Richards also stated that the album is a "a continuity from Hackney Diamonds", while adding: "It was great to be working in London again, and to have that London vibe around us".
Elsewhere, Ronnie Wood said that the band were on "on top form", when it came to recording this album, while he also added: "Very often we nailed it on the first take. I hope everyone loves it".
