The trailer shows a number of clips from the many films Cruise has made such as Top Gun, Mission Impossible and Jerry Maguire. It then cuts to a scene of the actor walking into a hall full of people as he wears a cowboy hat and boots.
Cruise will step into the shoes of the southern cowboy-like billionaire in the brand new film 'Digger'. According to Variety, the film follows Digger as his oil company causes an ecological disaster and he is forced to embark on a mission to save humanity.
He later appears in the trailer, pacing back and forth in a dark-lit room and says: "If all else fails you hit em with the truth. The hard truth. Just bang, bang, bang. Wooo."
In a recent Instagram post, Cruise announced his new project. He posted the trailer along with the caption: "For the last 46 years, it has been my privilege to work alongside countless talented artists and crews to create these characters, stories, and films for you all. I’m looking forward to seeing you at the movies! DIGGER. Only in theaters this October."
