Fresh on the back of his new video ‘She Taught Me How To Fly’, which is available to watch below, Noel Gallagher, has hinted that he might soon return to the studio to begin work on the recording of two new albums. That’s with his band the High Flying Birds. It goes without saying that Liam is not impressed at all. The younger sibling has taken to social media to express his disgust.
Noel released his acclaimed third album Who Built The Moon? last year, and now says he already has a huge wealth of new material. However, working with producer David Holmes again may make him adopt a more adventurous approach to making a release.
Speaking to Lars Ulrich on his ‘Electric Show’ on Beats 1, Gallagher said, ‘I’ve got a whole backlog of songs, I write all the time so I’ve got plenty of material. I’m going to make another record with David in this way but the last one took four years so I’ll probably have to make another one alongside it in the more traditional sense.’
Of course, younger brother and ex band mate Liam Gallagher couldn’t resist having a go on Twitter. Talking of Noel’s wish to take a more reserved approach to making an album he said, ‘Traditional? Thought you don’t do traditional any more. What happened to your cosmic pop journey? Shit it, have we?’ Classic Liam.
