Vanessa Trump has announced that she has been diagnosed with cancer.

Trump, the ex wife of Donald Trump Jr, son of current US President Donald Trump, confirmed her diagnosis on social media, saying that she has already undergone one procedure and is also working on a treatment plan.

In a statement shared on his Instagram stories, Vanessa Trump who is currently dating golf pro, Tiger Woods, wrote: "I want to share a personal health update. I've recently been diagnosed with breast cancer".

She continued: "While this isn't news anyone expects, I'm working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan. I would like to thank my doctors for performing a procedure earlier this week on me".

"I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids and those closest to me", she added. "Thank you for your kindness and support, it truly means more than I can express. I kindly ask for privacy as I focus on my health and recovery".

Vanessa was married to Donald Trump Jr from 2005 to 2018. The former couple share five children, 19 year old Kai, Donald Jr 17, Tristan 14, Spencer, 13 and Chloe 11.

Vanessa's post was met with plenty of messages of well wishes, with her eldest son Kai shared a photo of them together with the words, "Strongest person I know. Love you", while Ivanka Trump, Vanessa's former sister in law also shared a message: "Praying for your continued strength and a swift recovery. Love you mama".

Tiger Woods, Vanessa's current partner has yet to comment publicly on her diagnosis, but reports have suggested that the golfer is returning to the US from Zurich where he recently underwent a rehab program.

This comes after it was confirmed in April that Woods was to step away from golf for the foreseeable future in order to "seek treatment" after being charged with DUI.

This was after he was involved in a single vehicle car crash in Florida in February 2021, which saw him suffer multiple leg fractures, after he rolled his vehicle while attempting to overtake another that was towing a trailer.

In April, Tiger Woods released this statement.

"I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health", he said. "This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery. I'm committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger and more focused place, both personally and professionally".
