Based on the best-selling novel by former SAS operator Andy McNab, ‘SAS: RED NOTICE’ sees Outlander star Sam Heughan as Tom Buckingham, a suspended special forces operator, taking girlfriend Dr Sophie Hart from London to Paris to propose.
When their train is deep inside the Channel Tunnel, heavily armed mercenaries, led by Grace Lewis (played by Hollywood megastar Ruby Rose), seize control of it and hold everyone hostage. Grace threatens to blow up the Channel Tunnel and declare economic war on a government that has its fair share of secrets to keep. Unarmed and cut off from his counter terror team, Tom is the only hope that Sophie and the other passengers have to make it out alive. To save them he must embrace the unique psychology that makes Grace such a formidable adversary.
For Ruby Rose, the award-winning actress who shot to fame after starring on Netflix’s hit series “Orange Is the New Black”, playing Grace in ‘SAS: RED NOTICE’ adds another action packed role to her CV. Rose has starred in action films: Vin Diesel’s “XXX: The Return of Xander Cage”, the third instalment in the franchise, “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” starring Milla Jovovich, “John Wick: Chapter 2” alongside Keanu Reeves, Common and Ian McShane.
For something different Rose also appeared in “Pitch Perfect 3” opposite Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson and she was also in the Warner Bros. action film “The Meg”, with Jason Statham, which grossed over $500 million at the box office, in 2018.
Rose made her highly anticipated appearance as ‘Batwoman’ in 2019 and played the role for one season and was very proud to be the first LGBTQ+ superhero on television.
Rose currently resides in Los Angeles with her three dogs, Chance, Charlie and Ru where I chatted with her about the provocative action thriller ‘SAS: RED NOTICE’ which rips its way through every crawl space in the Channel Tunnel before exploding into an epic battle between a good psychopath and a bad psychopath.
‘SAS: RED NOTICE’ also stars Andy Serkis and Tom Wilkinson and is on Sky Cinema from 12 March and streaming service NOW TV via the Sky Cinema Pass.
