Robert Plant treated his fans to a special performance of the “Immigrant Song”. The rocker had made a recent appearance at a much-loved summer festival.

That was during his headline performance at the Secret Solstice Festival in Iceland earlier this month on June 23rd.

According to Led Zeppelin news, Plant had not performed this Led Zeppelin classic ” since he first joined Jimmy Page on stage in Tokyo in 1996.

This year’s performance at the festival will be a memorable return to Iceland for the legendary Plant.

Led Zeppelin had performed at the Laugardalsholl arena in Reykjavik in 1970 for a cultural exchange program. According to antimusic.com, the visit inspired Plant to write the lyrics to “Immigrant Song”. Check out the video below:

The Secret Solstice Festival takes place during the midnight sun weekend. This happens once a year when the sun does not set over the country for 24 hours.

Interestingly, it was twenty-four years ago that Plant performed the song for the first time in the land where it was first inspired.
