If you are tired of sweet, wholesome watches after binging Christmas movies, get ready for His & Hers, a new psychological thriller coming to Netflix that promises plenty of scandal.
The show is fronted by Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal, who play an estranged married couple, Anna Andrews and Detective Jack Harper. Remember, there are two sides to every story!
The pair becomes embroiled in a murder case investigation, with both parties believing the other is the culprit. Here's what you need to know...
Anna works as a news anchor whose once-thriving career has taken a dive and she attempts to get a big break by reporting on the mysterious murder of a woman in her hometown of Dahlonega, in Atlanta, Georgia. She begins to realise that her ex knew the victim, and suspects him of killing her.
As the truth emerges, Jack, who works as a detective, begins to question Anna's involvement, and so the pair compete for the truth of what really happened. As the story unfolds, the former couple's marital issues come to light.
Tessa expressed how excited she is to star in the show, saying: 'I am beyond elated to be collaborating with a filmmaker I have long admired and an incredible team to make a fresh offering in a genre that I can never get enough of.'
'From the second I heard what Will was imagining doing with Alice Feeney’s brilliant book to the moment I visited the town where our story is set, I was hooked,' she told Tudum.
His & Hers is based on an adaptation of a novel by author Alice Feeney. The show is directed by Lady Macbeth filmmaker William Oldroyd. The series also stars Pablo Schreiber, Crystal Fox, Sunita Mani, and Rebecca Rittenhouse.
All six episodes of the series will be available to stream on Netflix from January 8, and we can't wait!
