It has been reported that the woman is in her 50s and was arrested this morning and is being held at a garda staion in the eastern region.
The woman is the third person to be arrested as part of this investigation.
The woman reportedly knew Kyran and garda have spoken to her a number of times, according to a report in RTE.
Kyran was reported missing to garda in Drogheda in August 2024. Officials were originally told that he had not been seen for a few days. It later emerged that he was missing for almost two years.
His school was informed in 2022 that he would not be returning to school the following term.
Garda in Drogheda began a murder investigation, they arrested a woman who had been living in UK however she was later released with no charges.
A man who knew the woman was also arrested on suspicion of Kyran's murder and his home was searched. He was later released without charges, he was found dead in his home six days later.
