Dee Woods

They say the trouble with reality is that there’s no background music. Well there always has been in my head (along with several voices, but that’s not important right now). Music is the soundtrack to my life and when I got introduced to radio in journalism college I knew I’d struck gold – and not the kind you put in an envelope and post off for cash, the kind where you realise if you can get paid for something you love to do, you’ll never work a day in your life.

I’ve never seen such passion for music than I have with Radio Nova’s listeners. And with the 7 at 7, Nothing But the 80s at 8 and the Classic Album at 11 on Nova Nights, it’s not hard to see why.

At the end of your day, sit back, enjoy the tracks and the craic: Nova Nights Monday to Friday from 7 pm until Midnight.

Radio Nova has achieved its highest market share to date in the today’s JNLR radio ratings. The ratings, which surveyed the entire radio section for the most recent 12-months up to the end of March, give the station a 30% increase in the key Dublin radio market.* Meanwhile, the stations daily audience in the capital has increased by 7%.** The increase is the latest in a sequence of good news for the Dublin-based station, which launched just over two years ago.
