3 Men Have Died in Separate Road Collisions

Three men have died in separate road traffic accidents in Donegal, Cork and Kildare.

Kildare

The first of the incidents occurred in Kilcock of Kildare.

The motorcyclist, in his 50s, was involved in a single vehicle crash at around 10:45 am. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cork

The collision in Cork occurred at around 8pm on the N20 in Castlewrixon. The road has been closed for a garda examination and diversions are in place.

The crash involved a jeep, which was driven by a man in his 80s, and a motorcyclist, who was in his 30s.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scence.

The driver of the jeep was taken to Cork University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Donegal

The final collision in Donegal happened at 9.10pm in Ballymagan when 2 cars collided.

The driver of one of the cars, a man in his 20's, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passenger of the car was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The driver and the passenger of the second car, both in their late teens, were also treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Fatalities on Irish Roads

The number of fatalities on Irish roads this year is 91. This figure is over 9 more than 2025 of a similar time frame.

2025 was the deadliest year for Irish road users in over a decade and 2026 is following this trend.
