A workman was filmed while screaming “if you’d just paid me my f***ing £600”. as he trashed a Travelodge in Liverpool yesterday. According to the Sun, the worker then ran from the scene seconds before police arrived at the site. Video of the carnage is below.
Co-workers at the site today have claimed that a banking error meant their Friday wages were paid on Monday but the irate tradesman didn’t know. It is reported the cost of damage, re-building work and the delayed of the hotel opening could run up to £500,000.
Speaking to The Sun a fellow labourer explained, “The money was supposed to go into his bank on Friday. But there was some kind of glitch and it didn’t go in until Monday. He didn’t check his bank account and didn’t realise he’d actually been paid. That’s why he went mental and wrecked the place.”
