Allegation That Social Democrats Member Voted Twice In General Election
Did a Social Democrats member vote twice?

Gardaí in Mallow have been investigating an allegation of voter fraud for some time. The Garda investigation concerns a claim that a person voted twice in the Cork North Central electoral constituency in February’s general election.

The person is alleged to have voted at two different polling stations within the constituency on Saturday 8th of February. Gardaí have confirmed to Radio Nova News this morning that the investigation into the alleged incident is still open.

It is now claimed that the person who allegedly committed voter fraud is a member of the Social Democrats political party. It’s further claimed that it was another member of the Social Democrats who reported the alleged events.

The Social Democrats member reported the alleged incident to both senior Social Democrats members and An Garda Síochána.

When Radio Nova News requested a statement on the allegations from the Social Democrats this morning, the party’s Press and Communications Officer said that they had “no comment to make”.
